PRINCE2® PRACTITIONER COURSE

The PRINCE2® Practitioner course is a five day course which is accredited by APMG and presented by PRINCE2® approved trainers. The first three days comprises of the Foundation Stage, with days four and five concentrating on studying towards the Practitioner examination which takes place on the morning of day five.

Examination

The Practitioner examination is a 2 ½ hour “open book” examination. The objectives of the examination are to enable a candidate to demonstrate an understanding of PRINCE2® and an ability to apply the methodology in an appropriate way in a given set of circumstances described in a scenario. The Practitioner exam uses objective test questions which require a candidate to choose a response to a question from a set of choices for which the correct answer is pre-determined. The Practitioner paper is held on Friday morning and is marked by APM Group examiners.

Course Details

The pre-course reading is sent to delegates four weeks before the commencement of each course. It is strongly recommended that a minimum of 20 hours of pre-course reading is completed during the weeks before the course starts. During the course all delegates are expected to complete evening work. Delegates who pass the Practitioner examination are awarded the qualification of registered PRINCE2® Practitioner.

Prerequisites

To gain the most from the Practitioner Course we recommend that delegates should have had prior experience or awareness of projects and the project management environment, though not necessarily as a project manager. Prior to Day One of the course Delegates should have completed their pre-course study pack. The course content and timing is based on the assumption that they will have done so.
