PRINCE2® FOUNDATION COURSE


3-p1The PRINCE2® Foundation course is a three day course which is very intensive and highly participative. It is delivered by an approved PRINCE2® trainer on a time-line basis reflecting the start, middle and end of a typical project.




Examination

The 1-hour Foundation examination will take place on the afternoon of day three. All delegates must pass this examination in order to take the Practitioner Examination.

Course Details

The Pre-course reading is sent to delegates 3 weeks before the commencement of each course. It is strongly recommended that a minimum of 20 hours of pre-course reading is completed during the weeks before the course starts. During the course all delegates are expected to complete evening work. Delegates who pass the Foundation examination are awarded a PRINCE2® FOUNNDATION certificate.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course Participants will be able to:

• Understand how to plan and organise PRINCE2® projects

• Use the PRINCE2® method to ensure quality is delivered

• Follow the processes to complete a successful PRINCE2® project

• Take the PRINCE2® Foundation examination

Foundation Exam

This is a closed book multiple choice exam of 75 questions taken over 1 hour. The Pass Mark is 50%.

Pre-Course Work

Prior to training, delegates will be issued with a pre-course Study pack including:
• Reading selected chapters from the PRINCE2® manual and answering some ‘quiz’ questions on this reading.
• Pre-reading a Case Study scenario
• Familiarisation with Past Foundation exam questions.

This pre-course preparation should take up to 20 hours over the previous 3 weeks.
